iChris: How many iPods do you need?

Well, my new Nano arrived today directly from Shenzhen, China, a day early. I ordered it Sept 5th, the day Apple announced their new line-up of iPods. I’m glad I skipped the 2nd gen iPod Nano because it wasn’t much different than the first gen model. The 3rd gen model, however, is crazy different… shorter, wider, does video and games, and if you can believe this… it’s thinner than its predecessor.

Featured is my 8GB iPhone, 1 GB iPod Nano (1st gen), and 8GB iPod Nano (3rd gen).

lol, three is nothing. Sadly I have two iphones, three Nanos and one video for a grand total of 6. To top it off, i still want a new nano!

Yes, before you say anything they are all used. Two nano’s go in the car. the ipod video goes with Nicole and the the other nano i run with.

of course now that i have the new iphones, all bets are off on the nano’s in the cars – those might be eBay fodder.

    I had 5 at one point: a 4th gen 20Gb iPod, a 1st gen 4Gb iPod mini, a 2nd Gen 1Gb shuffle, a 5th Gen 80Gb video and a 2nd Gen 4Gb nano… I sold the 20Gb and mini because I couldn’t justify keeping them around.

As for having the others… I’ve found that I’ll use different iPods for different situations… though the nano is my catch-all now. I can’t wait to get one of the 3rd Gen nano’s because I’ll probably do away with my 80Gb altogether.

    iPod Mini (1st Gen)
iPod Nano 2gb (My run pod)
iPod Video 40gb (Stays in the truck)

Should be adding an iPhone anyday now.

Ummm…. none? I think the question should be: how many iPods do you *think* you need.

Well now I need to update this photo… I have a new iPod Classic 80GB (traded it for an exhaust kit). So now I’m up to 4… crazy!

Wow, that’s crazy…I could never imagine having that many. I just got a 16gb iPhone, and believe-it-or-not, it’s actually my first Apple product ever.

Its more spacious than a nano and does audio and video, so I don’t anticipate needing anything else — my current cell phone and mp3 player have put in their time (3 years+ each), and now I’ve got one device to combine them both (albeit, with less space than my former 40gb iRiver).
